We are seeking Registered Nurses with experience as a Scrub Nurse and in Anaesthetics to join our agency in Howick. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with surgical procedures as a Scrub Nurse, maintaining sterile fields and providing necessary surgical instruments and supplies.

  • Support anaesthetists during anaesthesia administration and patient monitoring.

  • Prepare and manage the operating theatre, ensuring all equipment is sterile and functioning properly.

  • Provide post-operative care, ensuring patient recovery and comfort.

  • Monitor vital signs during surgery and respond to changes in a timely and professional manner.

  • Collaborate with the surgical and anaesthesia teams to ensure patient safety and effective outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, adhering to hospital and regulatory standards.

  • Educate and communicate with patients and their families regarding surgical procedures, recovery, and post-operative care.

  • Adhere to infection control protocols and hospital policies at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Registered Nurse qualification.

  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

  • Scrub Nurse with Anaesthetics experience.

  • Sound knowledge of surgical procedures, anaesthesia, and post-operative care.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to delivering excellent patient care.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team.

  • Ability to maintain a calm and focused demeanor under pressure.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
