  • If you don’t have a professional council number leave the field blank and continue

  • When you are asked where you work, please select your closest vaccination site

We understand many people are concerned about the safety of the vaccine

Serious side-effects are extremely rare but severe COVID-19 is not:

  • Serious side effects such as severe allergy (anaphylaxis) and the rare clotting condition affect between 1 and 4 people per million vaccinated.

  • In the last year 35 000 people per million cases of COVID-19 lost their lives.

The one-and-done (1 dose) Johnson & Johnson (JnJ) vaccine provides more than 80% protection against severe COVID-19.

“A third wave of COVID-19 is predicted to begin in South Africa this winter. Protecting healthcare workers is a priority and so we must start vaccinating our healthcare workers before the third wave arrives.” - Sisonke Study

Please talk to your health provider if you have concerns when making your decision.
