The most widely recognized and known type of nurse is the registered nurse (RN). These professionals have completed at least two years of college-level education in nursing science and must pass a national licensing exam before they can practice as a Registered Nurse.
They provide direct patient care such as administering medications, monitoring vital signs, performing diagnostic tests, and providing emotional support to patients. RN’s also play an important role in educating patients about their health conditions and treatments options available to them.

They often work independently with minimal supervision from physicians but may collaborate with other healthcare providers depending on the situation.
The important thing to note with Advanced Practice Nurses, is that their specialty may differ from another advanced Practice Nurse. Allowing you to really focus on an area of interest within the medical field.
